Amabama...

So the movers came on thursday. They only sent one man to finish all the work that had to be done! Eventually a girl showed up to help but it was her first day, so she was slow. The driver and his movers and the truck got there about 1:00 and had to stand around and wait for them to finish packing. Ugh! They finally finished everything about 6:30. Then I had to run mom over to her new place and when I got back, my good friend Niki was there working on cleaning up our place. We were there till about 10:00 and then we had finished packing up our Penske and taking our keys and we were on our way. We went to get the Penske weighed and then realized that we were so exhausted, we couldn't go any further, so we stopped and got a hotel. Friday, we got up and hit the road. The boys did a great job traveling and we only had to stop a few times. David really enjoyed riding in the big truck with daddy. We got in about 9:30 friday night. We got to the turn that Mapquest told us to take and it ended up taking us about 30 minutes out of the way, which was very frustrating as we were so tired! As we were driving up the road I was getting VERY worried as it was taking us about 20 miles into the middle of NOWHERE!! But eventually we figured it out and we got into some temporary housing that Honey had reserved for us, good thing. It's just as nice as any hotel I've been in for a while. And it has a kitchenette so we don't have to eat out anymore unless we want to. We spent Saturday finishing up some things, like taking the Penske back and we got the keys to our house and paid our rent. It is such a cute little ranch style house. 4 bedrooms, hallelujah!, and 2 baths and the kitchen actually has cupboards!!! And counters!!! :) It has new carpet in it so we will have to be extra careful! But it is so nice and spacy for us. The only downfall is that the laundry is in a utility closet in the carport! And there is no fence, so we will have to take Hercules out when he has to go. But there is a playground right in the backyard. It is about 5-10 minutes from David's school. We will move in tomorrow but don't expect our things to arrive until later in the week. So we will spend the next few days on air mattresses probably...Enterprise is a cute little town. Not too big but it has everything you could need. We went to church today and met lots of nice people. Yesterday there were a bunch of tornado warnings so the sirens were going off. That was pretty interesting! Honey has to do his inprocessing tomorrow morning and we have lots of other things to do...find a bank, ID cards, Car registration for post, register boys at youth services so they can do classes like Karate, get Hercules microchipped, etc! We don't know exactly when his classes will start but we will find out more tomorrow. If i think of anything else, I'll be sure to update. We are all pretty tired, in fact David and I are the only ones not taking naps right now...I should be. Isaac has been sO crabby. I know it will be better when we are in our house and he has his things...anyhow, more later!
